Why does my backup seem slow?

Once the initial backup has completed future backups will take minutes if not seconds.

We have developed innovative encryption technology which allows us to upload small pieces of data for any changes to existing backed up documents. This gives you the ability to restore previous versions and speed up your future backups.

We advise you to turn off any sleep settings you may have set on your computer, and make sure it is not turned off during your first backup. Over time hard drives become fragmented, put simply this means stored data is spread out across the disk. If you have not run a disk defragmenter for a while, or at all, this will affect the upload speed.
